Adora Svitak is a writer from Seattle. She reads voraciously: about 1500 books over the last 5 years. She has also authored about 400 short stories and has just published her first book called Flying Fingers… and she’s 8.

Adora Svitak with Peter Jennings

I listened to a BBC Outlook interview with her today (her segment starts at 42 minutes 50 seconds). As you might guess, it is remarkable. She wrote her first story at age 4. At age 6 she began typing, and now she can type at 60 wpm.

Here’s her website.
